| Risk | Explanation | |------|-------------| | | Wrong model selection or incomplete reset can corrupt EEPROM. | | Virus false positives | Many versions online contain malware – only use from trusted sources (e.g., print technician forums). | | Not permanent | Waste counter will fill again. You must physically clean or replace pads, else ink spills inside printer. | | Windows-only | No native Mac/Linux version (may work via Wine but risky). | | No automatic update | You must find newer versions for bug fixes. |
| Function | Description | |----------|-------------| | | Resets protection counter to 0% – essential after physical pad cleaning/replacement. | | Initial ink fill | Forces printer to pull ink from tanks to head (useful after deep clogs or head swap). | | Printhead alignment | Manual bi-directional & uni-directional adjustment. | | Head ID registration | Writes new head’s unique ID into EEPROM – prevents wrong density issues. | | Borderless print counter | Reset if you only use borderless printing (fills pads faster). | | EEPROM dump | Save/load printer EEPROM data (advanced troubleshooting). |
