Before we discuss the Hindi dubbed version, it is essential to understand the film's origin. Devi 2 is the sequel to the 2016 blockbuster horror-comedy Devi (L) , also known as Abhinetri in Telugu and Naan Rajavaga Pogiren in Tamil. The original film starred and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles, with the late legendary actor Sonu Sood playing a pivotal role.

As of now, A. L. Vijay has announced a third installment, but production has been delayed. Hindi fans will have to wait.
