Unlike Scary Movie which spoofed multiple films at once, A Haunted House focuses narrowly on demonic possession and security camera logic. The film mocks the "static camera" shots of Paranormal Activity by having characters trip over sleeping pets or engage in absurdly long, silent arguments. It is crude, unapologetic, and for fans of slapstick, genuinely funny in parts.
