The plot follows Om Prakash Makhija, a struggling junior artist in the 1970s who is deeply in love with film star Shanti Priya. After witnessing Shanti's tragic murder by a greedy producer, Om dies trying to save her. He is reincarnated in the modern era as Om Kapoor, a pampered superstar who eventually begins to recall his past life and sets out to bring Shanti's killer to justice.
