The first half follows a 10-year-old Michael Myers growing up in a dysfunctional household in Haddonfield, Illinois. It explores the events leading up to his first murders on Halloween night and his subsequent 15-year incarceration at Smith's Grove Sanitarium under the care of Dr. Samuel Loomis.
