The SP3 is rated for 4 ohms with a sensitivity of 86dB. This makes it relatively easy to drive; a modest 25-50 watt amplifier (like the NAD D3020 or a simple Fosi Audio BT20A) is more than enough to fill a living room. However, the speaker reveals its true character when given headroom. At higher volumes (90dB+), the SP3 does not compress.
