The Other Side of the Door is a that prioritizes grief-stricken emotion over relentless scares. It won’t haunt you for days, but it’s a compelling watch for fans of character-driven supernatural tales. If you expect non-stop terror, look elsewhere. If you appreciate a well-acted, atmospheric chiller with a cultural twist, this is worth a dark, rainy evening.
After a tragic car accident caused by her negligence, Maria’s young son, Oliver (Logan Creran), dies. Consumed by guilt, Maria learns of an ancient Hindu ritual from her housekeeper, Piki (Suchitra Pillai). The ritual allows a grieving parent to say one final goodbye to their deceased child. The rule is absolute: Maria must enter an abandoned temple, burn a photo of Oliver, and sit in front of a locked door. She can hear his voice, but under no circumstances can she open the door. The door is the barrier between the living and the dead. The Other Side of The Door -2016- 1080P
